John King is an archive associate at Berea College in Berea Ky, working in the Special Collections Sound Archive and also studies Popular Culture and Communication. As his capstone project, he produced a series of educational audio programs exploring Appalachian music and culture. Each program has specific themes such as Myths, Women's History, Black History, Etc. Each program utilizes the sound archive's 20,000 hours of non-commercial recordings, and is accompanied by a web page with further information.
